What is essential tremor? Of 20-plus different kinds of tremor, essential tremor (ET) is the most common. Also known as familial tremor, benign essential tremor or hereditary tremor, ET is a neurological condition that is often confused with Parkinson’s disease and dystonia. Because of misguided beliefs and a lack of awareness, many people with this condition never seek medical care though most would benefit from treatment.
Flu Immunizations
From the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness: The flu vaccine is given during the fall. Flu season usually begins in late winter or early spring. Remember that the virus in the vaccine is dead and the flu shot cannot give you the flu. Even though early immunization is best, it is not too late to get the vaccine in December or even January.

Beauty Becomes You
The Mission of Beauty Becomes You is to preserve the dignity and self respect of senior adults through the provision of personal services. Health care professionals provide hair cuts, manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages.
Each year the centers are visited by Beauty Becomes You volunteers, affording the seniors a day of pampering. Please call the center in your area for more information.
Vision screenings
Vision clinics are held at the Senior Centers in collaboration with Prevent Blindness Georgia. The clinics are a one stop shop. Your eyes are first dilated and then your vision is checked by an optometrist. Next is lens fitting and frame choice, all in a morning!
